Rogue Feat Tree in Gods And Heroes: Rome Rising

RogueAs initial beta testing draws near, Patrician and Plebeian alike await  tidings of the various classes in Perpetual Entertainment‘s upcoming MMORPG, Gods And Heroes: Rome Rising. Today, they’ve deigned to drop a few hints about the “Rogue.”

The rogue has evolved somewhat. Although he retains his fighting and stealth abilities, he has changed from a “shadowy figure of mystery” to a “confident, almost cocky and colorful character.” He’s been all over the Empire, swaggers a bit, and suggests piracy and swashbuckling. His cultural background and costume suggests Persia (Rome’s arch-rival superpower in ancient times), so he’s definitely exotic…but what can he do?

The Rogue’s Feat Tree has three Core Trees and two additional Trees – Distance and Close Fighting. Class core skills include Stealth, Backstab and Automaton Confusion (used to confuse metallic creatures). A brief rundown of the Rogues Skillset follows; this is only up to Level 20, so far.

1 – Stealth: Allows the Rogue to disappear and sneak around.
2 – Blind: Allows the Rogue to temporarily blind an opponent by kicking sand in their eyes.
3 – Backstab: In Stealth mode, Rogue can launch a sneak attack.
5 – Evade: Rogue can better resist negative movement effects and reduce aggression by hostile mobs.
5 – Distract: Rogue can distract his opponent by stunning him.
5 – Blindside: Rogue can knock his opponent down and stun him without doing permanent damage.
10 – Entangle: Using a rope, the Rogue can entangle an enemy, slowing him down.
10 – Safe Fall: The Rogue sustains less damage from falling.
10 – Hide Unit: Allows Rogue to hide his Skirmisher Units.
10 – Gut: An uppercut movement that causes damage to an opponent from bleeding.
10 – Groin Kick – An “underhanded attack” that stuns an opponent (duh…!)
15 – Automaton Confusion: See above; effective only on metallic creatures
15 – Make Poison: The Rogue can make a vial of poison and apply it to their weapon, or that of another
15 – Skirmishing Aura: Gives allies a defensive increase (at the cost of ability to inflict damage)
20 – Piercing Rope: Gets through an enemy’s armor
20 – Slipperiness: Increases Rogue’s ability to dodge and strike
20 – Flank: Allows Rogue’s Skirmisher Minions to outflank those of the enemy
20 – Negate Armor: Negates an opponent’s Armor bonus.
