Stick ’em up with Dragon Quest Swords gameplay

It just so happens that Square Enix‘s official website held true to its word about having Dragon Quest Swords as a playable demo in the Nintendo World Tour 2006 in Japan. While there’s still not much known about this elusive title, today we’re going to cut to the chase of preliminary introductions and head right on to the gameplay itself! Here’s the “Show Demo” vid from doublespy in Game Videos:

Interesting gameplay, don’t you think? It sort of reminds us of King’s Field – part-RPG, part-FPS. You go through a section of the map and come across some baddies along the way. With the Wiimote, you hack-and-slash the slimes and other enemies like no tomorrow. You can even use a shield to block – just make sure you hold it up in the right position to make a successful block. You can select a spell and cast it with the Wiimote (don’t worry, there’ll be instructions on-screen to guide you).

You can pretty much understand the gameplay by watching the video, so we recommend you guys to check it out. If the embedded video doesn’t play for you, we’ve included a download link below.
